In 2003, Mike Heimert recognized the tremendous need for a global independent consulting firm specializing in transfer pricing, intellectual property and valuation services. With large audit firms facing independence issues, particularly in the wake of Sarbanes Oxley, the environment was conducive for launching a new business.
Ceteris (pronounced set' -ur -es) is a component of the Latin term Ceteris Paribus, an economic phrase meaning all things being equal or on parity. Further significance, our name also communicates and supports the arm’s length standard for transfer pricing.
As an entrepreneurial company, Ceteris seeks leaders that also have accomplished technical and advisory skills. Within our first year, Ceteris opened offices in Chicago, New York and Toronto.
Today, Ceteris has grown to 13 offices with locations in Canada, Mexico, New Zealand and the United States and has become the largest independent transfer pricing firm in North America.
